You're the Leader We've Been Waiting For!
Tamara told her friends.
"My name is Tamara. I'm from Detroit. I started walking with GirlTrek last year as a solo trekker and I was so inspired by my weight loss that I invited my friends to join me for Superhero Saturdays. Now we're a Trek Team."
Lisa's team earned badges.
I'm Lisa, but I go by @DivineMsD on Twitter. I live in Boston, but my virtual trek team "Women of Color United" live across the country. We got orgaized on the GirlTrek Locker Room which is an inspiring space to track progress.
Deb got inspired.
"I'm Deb from NJ. I started by organizing a 3-mile walk with the women of my church during the Prayer Trek. Then we started walking weekly - our route started in the church parking lot and looped around a nearby track. We thanked God for the ability to move! We gave thanks for our health and for each other."
Symone got connected.
"I'm Symone and from Los Angeles. When emailing my friends didn't work, I got creative ideas and support on the Trek Team Leader Facebook Group. Now I have a regular Saturday morning trek in Kenneth Hahn Park."
