1. Sign up.

Not already on GirlTrek's email list? It's cool.  Take 3 minutes to take the general walking pledge now. Click the icon to get started.

2. Post on FB

Click the icon. log in and tag your FB friends in a fun challenge!  "I just took the GirlTrek pledge to walk in my neighborhood every Saturday morning!  Who's with me?  We are re-establishing a tradtion of walking to jumpstart healthier living! Should be fun.  Starting this Saturday. Who's in?  Leave a comment and I'll send you the meeting location!  #GirlTrek 

3. Tweet the news

It's official, I'm a #GirlTrek organizer, fired up and ready to walk for healing!  Anyone want to go for a walk this Sat?Click the icon above to tweet for a good cause!

4. Tell somebody.

No icon needed.

Get up from your desk and tell someone "I just accepted the GirlTrek walking pledge!" Invite them to join you.  Schedule a weekly walk together!

5. Take a selfie.

Click the icon to post a selfie on your first walk!  You can write something like, "We walk to heal our bodies, inspire our daughters and reclaim the streets of our neighborhoods! Run tell that!  #GirlTrek!"

6. Ring, Ring!!

Call your cousin! "Hey girl! Hey have you heard of GirlTrek?  We'll I just organizing with 25,000 other sisters.  We are a walking organization that believes that walking together is a solution to the health crisis facing our families.  All you have to do is pledge to walk every Saturday morning and build from there!  It's free.

7. Say it with Style!

  • Pictures, pictures, pictures!  Download one of these Flickr pictures for your new flyer or Flickr allows you to set all the pictures on a rotating slide show.  Please note that you must get prior permission to use GirlTrek photographs if you are not an organizer or if you will use for formal presentations.   • Become a member of the paparazzi:  We Love great photographs. Start tagging your very best pictures using #GirlTrek on Instagram and social media.  Need help taking or selection great shots?  Here are some Tips for Taking GirlTrek Pictures.

 

  • Post flyers around the neighborhood.  Many women make their own flyers using Canva.com or other free design platforms.  You can always use this handy-dandy General GirlTrek Flyer.

 

  • Clipboard with a signup sheet!  Sometimes, when th energy is high, people want to sign up right then!  Use this Old-School Sign Up Sheet!  But the most important part of using this sheet is the next two steps.  #1:  You HAVE to enter all names and email addresses into the "Sign up" page of this website.  If you don't, your new recruits won't get into the system and #2:  You MUST snap a picture of the sign up sheet with your phone and email it to info@girltrek.org with the subject New Trekkers.  Each woman must read the waiver and write her name independently to acknoledge and accept GirlTrek's terms.

 

  • Make your own materials.  To do that, you'll need the GirlTrek logo.  Please use it responsibly!  Thousands of beautiful women work for and stand behind this brand!
